My months old 997 taken by Sandy
#61
A month passed since the storm... had power for 10 days and heat/hot water for 7... Wifey has a new car and a some new appliances. I have .... a new HVAC system. picked up some tools on black friday so I can get stuff done around the house. walls are still open to above flood lines to let things dry. its been COLD and we have no insulation on 1/3 of our walls - so my boiler is getting some exercise.
regarding replacing my 997 - the good news, prices are noticeably lower than I recall from shopping back in early 2012. the bad news - there are no cars on any of the sites i went on that appeal to me.
I have one key, a pair of original mufflers and the air box from my 997.1S - if anyone is interested PM me.

Drifting
Likely but don't get cut during the process. I heard of a BMW mech's in Louisiana who specialized in recovering flood damaged Bimmers after Katrina for parts. He incurred some cuts and dead from flesh eating bacteria. My buddy who owns a BMW repair/service shop shared this with me many years ago. Not sure how true this was but something to consider.
