Ordered one as well. Love new tools and this will give me 5 torque wrenches total. Have all different sizes.

Got mine in the mail. fast shipping and great packaging. I didn't have time read directions, ok I said it, but when I pressed power button nothing came on. Do I need to put batteries in, or press it longer? Thanks

The unit takes 3 AA batteries, which are not included.

I'm interested but +/- 3.5% doesn't seem like very good accuracy. That means when I'm torquing wheel bolts at 96 ft-lbs I can be off by more than 3 ft-lbs either way. Is this industry standard for accuracy?

Default T & A

A number of Porsche bolts require torque AND angle. Have a look at Snap-On Techangle line. Expensive, but worth it. A 1/2" Snap-On wrench has 2% accuracy, and a range to 250 ft.lb. Sure it does not cost $99, but....
And that's a big BUT.
Plus, you guys completely ignore Canadian customers. Thanks, but no thanks.

I have two Precision Instrument torques wrenches and they are 2% which is great for plugs and more precise engine work. I have not purchased one of the Brownline torques yet but I think I'm ok with 3.5% for jobs such as wheel work. I'm more concerned about usability... how it would affect/delay me potentially when I have to reset the torque setting each time I set it down for a few minutes. Would be great to get some perspective from those who have purchased it.

We do ship to Canada, but we can't offer the $99 special since it is much more expensive to ship there as opposed to within the US. We charge $125 with shipping via the USPS. The increase in cost is strictly the additional shipping charges we have to pay.

We have gotten a number of requests, so we are extending this special through the Holiday Season.

Our torque wrench makes a great gift! So don't miss out.

I ordered one a little over a month ago and used it for a few jobs on a couple different cars including the 997-2 wheel bolts. I found it easy to use - i.e. to program and torque, but I also found it easy to over-torque if you simply listen to the audible sound. Once I started using the audible and the visual (colored lights), I was fine. That's my only caution at this point, torque slowly to hit your value precisely. Nevertheless the product is well built and functional.
