Default Battery for the 997.2 the same as the 997.1

The h7 size battery, either the interstate or everstart, seems to be exact fit as many attest in our forum. But most have 997.1's. is the battery the same for the 997.2 c will the h7 also fit the tray of teh 997.2?

OEM battery for 997.1 and 997.2 are the same. You can always check USA part numbers here:

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...artscatalogue/

I'm sure there's a similar link for ROW part numbers.

Hmmmm. But do the audi batteries good warranty? Iv had problems with the porsche battery warranty even if i had good relations with the dealer. Porsche would not accept unless the mileage thing was fulfilled, and i already had the second highest mileage 997.2 where i am. Des the audi battery have same footnotes on warranty?

What do u mean? that you should drive your car more often to have warranty? If so, I do not know.

AHey Rick yer getttin all slicky on me pal....all new batteries would come with a warranty, if yer not drivin ya motor very much drop a tender on it, prevents the battery from completely draining when the cars not in use.

agreed brother mumbles, just that i have been hearing all this thing about the porsche battery having bad warranty and since audi and porsche are in the same family their warranty clauses might be similar. those interstate and walmart batteries have warranty that anytime they go in 3 years they will just replace it. i guess for peace of mind. but if the audi batteries do give similar warranty to aftermarket ones then i think that is the way to go. i will ask dealer here.
