The worst part is, once you have one you think about buying a second Porsche. For some reason, I've been wondering if it would be fun to have an older Cayman S to drive back and forth to work... maybe set up more for some DEs with a nice exhaust and some mods.
There are a few Caymans on eBay for about 25Kish with low miles. I think they would be a whole lot better than the new scion/subie car.
I have a neighbor who owns a Ferrari 458 Italia. He told me that his major service cost more that $10K. They did pick up his car in a covered Ferrari van, and returned it in the same van. So at least it was convenient for him.
Had a drive in a 458 Italia spyder when I visited Maranello last month. Niiiiice! Being that bit wider than the 997 demands a bit more respect. But when you give it WOT, sorry, the p car just can't compare.....
I really want to sell one of my 3 cars but I just cant seem to let go of either Porsche or the pratical 4runner
Keep the 4runner n the Carrera. That fulfills most/all requirements. My 4runner is 20 yrs old and its the reason i can own a Carrera n still go scuba diving, hunting, n park anywhere at the airport.
Irreplaceable for me!! Loved the 911 since the 70s (after my affairs with the English & Italian cars had ended).
I never imagined I'd get any closer than my 87' 944 but good fortune and hard work stepped in and low and behold, starting in 1999 4 911s. I can't put into words how this car has enriched and brightened my life .....but it most definitely has!!
