I did some searches and have seen some advice on winter tires. But just wanted to post as new tires come out all the time. I live in Switzerland and plan to do a lot of winter driving, probably on snow quite a bit. So I'm looking for experience for the highest performance winter tires available today. I'm going to swap the summer tires on my OEM 19" rims (don't want to spend the $$ on extra set of rims right now).
any advice appreciated! and I'm looking forward to some fun winter driving in my new to me '07 4S![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I run michelin pilot alpins on a 09 c2s in michigan as a daily drive (even in the snow). Theyre on a set of 18 inche oz racing rims. Works great and never been stuck. Ground clearance can be an issue getting in and out of neighborhoods.

so I went to my Porsche dealer here in Basel Switzerland and they said the Alpins won't be available until February
. But the tire porsche here recommends is the Pirelli WT 240. I looked it up and it seems to get decent reviews. anyone out there know this one? Is it also recommended in the states?

Pirelli 240 Sotto Zero Series II are the best available at this time in the 19" fitments. If you were to be buying in 18 (I know you are not) the Pirelli and the forementioned Michelins are both good ones.
I have the Pirelli in stock in 235/295 and we do ship to Europe. PM me for details and I'll be happy to quote you.
