What are the best deals we are seeing?
What do you guys think about the traditional Sliver over Red?

Dammit I wish you wouldnt remind me. I was thinking of trading my 997.2 C2S in with the 2011 BMW X5M (3K miles EVERY OPTION) in and just getting a 12 or 13 Coupe with more warranty.
Mine is cool and VERY quick

Paul:

I traded my '09 C2S last fall when a Boxster Spyder like I wanted became available new. I regretted getting rid of the Carrera S and fortunately it became available this Spring and I grabbed it back .... and will not part with it. I have driven a 991 and it is a very fine car and clearly PORSCHE quality but clearly different from the 997.2. Very quick and very comfortable but much more a GT car than a sports car and larger than the 997.2. Each to his own but for me the 997.2 C2S is a keeper (of course the Spyder resides right next to it so the best of both worlds).

Seems like you trade in 2 great cars for 1 car that arguably is a smidge better than your 997.2, so you can have a warranty? I dont think its worth going from a 997.2S to a 991 unless you are a GT guy. Some 991 guys say that the 997 is noisy. Maybe they shouldnt be in a 911 to begin with And I'm not being facetious.

If I didnt have a 997.2, I would probably get a 991. But I dont think its worth paying $50-60K more to trade up?

Absolutely! You gain very little going from 997.2 to 991 (and arguably lose some rawness), while you lose one WHOLE car in the trade... doesn't make any sense IMO.

If you're getting close to warranty expiry, just purchase an extended and drive the heck out of those two fine machines!

I personally think you have a fantastic car, along with the x you have the best of both worlds, with split milage.

But if you're rich and famous........

no I aint rich, But I got a new 2013 Mzda CX5 gets 40mpg loaded.
So now the garage looks like this
2013 Mazda SUV 40mpg
2011 X5M and yes Mike with my back its SOoo comfy and faster than a Cayenne Turbo
2009 C2S
I didnt think that it made sense to have the 2 SUVs but the 2nd SUV is for my business.

AND believe me the Numbers dont add up I will just add an aero kit prolly. The Carrera is the
fastest car I have had including my Gt3s and TT!

Smart move Paul I'm looking for a small rear spoiler that will drop in where the pop up spoiler currently resides and that would eliminate that. MA Shaw has one that is nice looking, no decisions yet
