I have the new C63 Black edition. It is an amazing car. It feels very heavy compared to my 997's especially under braking and rapid left/right transitions. Overall the best performance benz imo. Definitely more unique compared to regular 997 or GTS. The RS 3.8 and 4.0 are in another league.

Jonathan I had a similar situation about a year ago and took an entirely different approach as you can see from my signature.
I considered buying a higher performance 4 seater which I could take the kids in like the 997 but I found that they rarely wanted to go out for a drive in my current 4 seater (928). So instead of focusing on a single sporty 4 seater I decided to buy exactly what I really wanted which was a 2 seat convertible and a second less expensive car for daily use. With $100K you could spend $70K to buy a really nice sports car and a second 4 passenger sedan (perhaps a used C63 or M3) for daily use.
Personally I've found that my kids prefer the Spyder and will ask to go for rides with me. They like sitting next to me and having the open top. Figures! So they take turns, I take one out and then the other. They love that undivided personal time with me.
Having said all that the MB will be a totally different experience and being in Texas I would probably choose it over the 911 since it's power and speed can be used more easily.

Mr Sullivan, go drive the new 2012 Nissan GTR, 0-60 below 3 seconds, back seats too. Lot of improvements over previous models.
Personally, I would definatly drive one of these before deciding what to buy.

Sorry, I'm a noob. I almost went for a new 2013 Boxster S. I think Porsche did a great job with this car. It's also the first Boxster that I could fit into comfortably at 6'4". It drove and handled great. The problem I had was the pricing, and the dealers (3 that I went to) were not willing to deal as they are new to the market. One dealer had just received 5 that were dealer ordered, and loaded with options the sticker was $89,000+.
My wife actually talked me out of the Boxster as she had always considered them to be baby Porsches, and she felt that I would not be happy with it long term. Also, the bottom line was that the Boxster S made no financial sense as compared to the great deal that I was able to negotiate for the new 2012 911 GTS cab that I ended up buying.

C63 Black is a rare and jaw dropping performance car, hard to get........it is a no brainer........drive it and then sell it if your ADD kicks in again.........
Recent comparo in Motor Trend had it second in test of best drivers available.......991 Carrera S was judged top car, but not enough seat room fro your needs......
C63 Black is the best overall performance 4 seater you can buy and not on every corner........

My Acura MDX will continue to be my daily driver/beater. This is a weekend toy only. I have two boys and they insist on riding with, coming to car shows, etc. And I love that they do. I know from speaking with friends with older kids that at some point they will be less interested in hanging out with dad. So for now, I love getting to include them.
