You're probably getting 91 octane and you're absolutely right. My BMW (slightly tweaked 335 442HP@the wheels) was running 94 when I was in Michigan and 91 in Washington. Granted the car was suppose to run on 91 with my tune but it ran like total shiz on Washington fuel. IDK man....I think you're right. I now run 93 BP (because I like what they did to the Gulf
) and my car runs amazing. I don't know if they use any ethanol but I think they do.
I suspect your issue is going from 120 Proof ***** Creek to 100 proof. Your car can't handle it especially when smoking a cigar.

For sure, the damn ethanol hurts our engine, I highly recommend folks to stay away from 10% ethanol wherever possible!
