Default Fantastic, Incredible, Brilliant and as many more as you can think of.

This has been one of the many incredible experiances in my life. What a fantastic piece of engineering and a brilliant driving pleasure.

Okay from the start.
8.00am Monday morning 9/17/2012 arrived at main gate of Porsche, shown into Euro delivery reception, waited about twenty mins for delivery specialist. Did all the paoer work in no time. Only shock I got was the price of 60 days Insurance 2500Euros but what the heck its been worth it.

Did not do the factory tour(I will do this at another time) as I could not wait to get out on the road with my new toy(some toy).
The delivery specialist told l me it would better for the car if I did not cross 4k rpm for the first 3k kmh, for once I was very good. But Holy **** at 4k rpm in seventh gear its a whole other world, things happen very quickly and the Autobahn gets eaten up very very quickly.

I am now back in London for seven weeks and have just crossed 2k miles on the car so can't wait to back to mainland Europe and see what she will really do and maybe take a trip to the Ring.
Here are a few photos.
Not sure about the new Lime Green.

Fantastic!, Thank you for posting and enjoy. I hope to do that sometimes myself.
I cancelled in 2010 because it cost $4K plus for euro delivery and there was 2' of snow when my car was build in Feb 2010.

The 3k Km is for the driver self preservation, not the car ;-)
Go for it, you must be losing the will to live from frustrating self restraint LOL.

It's possible to work with Porsche AG in advance for a European Delivery by contacting your insurance carrier in advance and have them underwrite the period you will be there. At the time of my ED they wouldn't let me do it, despite my insurance company working in Europe all the time (USAA). The price break is substantial. You just have to do your homework in advance. Congrats on the new toy. Now get back on the Eurostar and heat up some tires...

Very nice. Great to see another rally (and Escort!) enthusiast here. Just to keep the stoke going while we wait for your updates, here are some more pics - only these are from the originals, not historics!!! And I am sure you will recognize the young guy in the Shell race suit......

And of course, couldn't talk about Escorts without a Mk1 going sideways....
