Coil Overs - noise from front springs
Just finished the installation of the Bils B14 Coil Overs on the 997.1 C2 and I am getting a noise from the front springs when making a turn at slow speed. Don't know if the spring is binding, or did I miss something?
So as I have promised here a pic of the car lowered and with clear signals.
All I need is for the wife to buy me a new set of wheels

There are some original parts you need to reuse when installing the coil overs. You're missing the thrust bearing at the least. This is a flat metal part that allows the upper surface to rotate relative to the lower surface. Look over the parts your installer removed and see what you find. In the Porsche parts book it is called the Angular Contact Bearing. The part number listed is 996 343 501 00. The book shows the stack of parts used with a front strut.
What is happening is that the strut needs to rotate on its axis as the wheels are turned. The thrust washer allows this to occur withou any spring binding.
Search here and on 6 Speed. I recently saw a post for a DIY for installing coilovers. There are a couple of photos that show the parts required including the ones you need to reuse from the originals.

The parts in you photo do not look like the angular contact bearing. Take a look at the Porsche parts book (downloadable from Porsche.com) and you will see the part I'm referring to. Review the installation instructions that came with you coilovers and compare to the Porsche illustration. Was there an angular contact bearing in the parts you removed from the car?
I installed PSS9s on my 996TT and had to redo it because of omitting the angular contact bearing. I would get the noise you describe turning at low speeds. The Bilstein instructions available at that time left a lot to the imagination.

The two small parts at the bottom need to be on the car. The tapered surface goes down to match the shock mating surface.
