It would be good to see the pieces in the flesh so to speak. At $260 for the sunvisors and $140 for the console lid I'll probably take that chance.
Full console is $690.

I never tire of watching that Porsche factory video but now I appreciate my full leather factory option that much more. Wow, these cars really are that special. Thanks for posting the vid 993S!

Even better in person! It really wants to make you buy one when you see them being put together.

I'm sure it's like visiting the diamond factories in Amsterdam. You go in a tourist and come out the other end a customer with a few c-cards maxed out... wife is happy though. BTW, I've been working the wife to stop in Stuttgart for our next trek thru Europe. Will have to ping everyone here on how to do that tour properly, where to stay, etc... My wife, of course, is more interested in Gergweis, Dachshund Capital of the World, which is located 200+ miles on the other side... should be a fun drive in a new Porsche? It's fun to dream but better to drive one.

Thinking about getting some bits as well. Maybe over winter to drive a way the no-ragtop depression.

I don't think these guys can duplicate the factory look but would be nice for restoration.
If I were going to have custom work done I would only use this guy: http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/PorscheLeather.html

But then again I'm really **** when it comes to matching or exceeding factory appearance.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to order my car so I already have most of the leather pieces I really want.

I've considered aftermarket leather bits as well but none seem to have the fit that Porsche factory leather is able to attain... I think it has to do with that channel in the form itself which Spokane mentioned. After market stuff seems to just attempt to achieve a straight line on a form w/o the channel. Whereas the factory forms provide that channel which guides the leather stitching in a consistent and straight alignment. Factory bits are just a much better match to the rest of the car's factory leather.

Wunderbar... think I just convinced myself to save some more Benjy's/Grovers for that Porsche center console. I can just picture it... the wife will be watching from a distant cuddling her the new Chanel handbag I had to buy her to justify my own center console purchase... while US customs gives me the once over for hand carrying in a Porsche leather center console from Stuttgart. Hope there's a sympathetic car guy amongst them who gets the psychosis that some of us are afflicted with. I know... I could just buy it from Suncoast but if I'm at the Stuttgart factory why not bring home a new car even if it's just one piece at a time.

I wouldn't mind a few extra's as well! In fact I already have a wish list including Center Bin Cover in Leather, Lower Portion of Center Console (Near Shifter) and maybe the sun visors.

This won't suit everyone's tastes. Rear shelves, subwoofer, rear lining, and luggage stops in sand beige leather matching the supple/draped leather seats.

Now I really have full leather envy. All I know is that I better hold on to this car for a long time if I'm going to be buying all of these goodies.
