Good question. Many of the "full leather" dashes are really not full leather. I got lucky with my GTS and it has a full leather dash.

Dude, the 911 isn't a cheap Italian sofa. What proof do you have that the dash doesn't come in full leather? Has PITA gone after Porsche?

I think what he means is that the vents and center speaker trim is not covered in leather. It is an option and it does look beautiful. I purposely didn't select it because I thought it would be difficult to maintain and the cost was high considering how little area was covered.

You are correct sir. I too was concerned about maintaining the additional leather on the dash, but my car came equipped that way, and it does look nice. Mine doesn't stay out in the sun too much, so I think I will be OK with it.

No. I opted out of that option because it's expensive and an area I would rarely touch and it can be negatively affected by the sun. I know of a few cars with it and it is very special!

Here is a picture of Z356's Spyder with the entire dash area covered. Yes it is stunning.

BTW, sorry to hear about your p-dealer issues. I couldn't stand/trust my local dealer initially either... until I found the right SR who was a former p-car mech there. Now the p-dealer and I now speak the same language... no more attempts at bogus service charges. I consider one of the SR's there a friend now but it took me a good year to figure out who was friend and who was foe at the p-dealer. GL.
USMC, here's my leather- sorry in advance for the poor shots, I'm not a great camera guy :-)
