I have long skinny fingers, so I opted to lay on the floor and do everything.
Getting the O2 sensors out was the hardest bit.
No issues at all, if you remove the rear bumper along with all the exahust covers, you can reach the O2 sensors very easily, lots of room.

I had Fisters on a 993 & the sound was amazing & just got into a 997S & glad to hear he does them for 997's now. I will have to check him out for my new car.

I did the job a few days ago on my 997.2, and I can say with 100% certainty that there is no reason to remove the bumper. The metal brace (bar) that screws in behind the rear tire does have to be undone so the bar can be swiveled out of the way to drop the muffler down and out. Be sure you have a torx screwdriver on hand to do that small step. Also, it helps to have a short arm socket wrench to get the the two rear-most 13mm nuts since they are high up and in a slightly tight area.

Did you do your cats too?

The hard part is doing the cats without removal.
It's possible if you have skinny strong fingers. If I were to do the cats again I think I'd remove the bumper.
Absolutely no need when doing cans only.

Really nice finish.
Care to describe the before and after?
I want to do something about the exhaust in my 997.2S but don't have any cars around to listen too, so it's difficult deciding.

Thanks. It's a good comparison of same car in same place. I take it this is with the center muffler still in.
Does anyone know what the difference is between doing Fister/Gundo and doing a center muffler delete with X-over (Fabspeed or Sharwerks)?

Fister uses 1.75" 304 SS pipe for bypass as Gundo hack usually uses 2" SS pipe. The wider the diameter, the louder it gets. And yes those cars in youtube are with the center muffler intact. It will get even louder with a center muffler delete. I think one should try Fister/Gundo first & do the center muffler delete if it's not loud enough.

I just got mine last night and can't wait to bolt it on. Does anyone have a timeframe hours wise on how long it takes to do the job if you have ramps?
Thanks

Those are both 997.1 cars. They don't have center mufflers.

@LittleGreen---With an air ratchet you can have the mufflers out and back in in 10-15 mins per side. Its only 6 bolts per muffler. Without an air ratchet add about 10 mins. Its a really simple job
