Default Help, anybody have an extra one of these?

So i managed to break off a bolt from the right side of the muffler bracket, Checked ebay to no avail, PN listed on the bracket is: 996 111 238 03. Best price i can find is around $300.

If someone has an extra one or perhaps you know somebody that has one, i would appreciate it. I am going to stop by a muffler shop tomorrow and see if they can remove this broken one and put in a new one.

Thanks in advance.

John

Thanks,

John

Bolts or rivets?
Either way, drill them out and refasten with whatever was there (bolt or rivet).

I ddin't know that DC Auto had a $75 minimum. My orders were over $75, so it didn't come up.

with all exhaust parts, spray all bolts and nuts with PB Blaster before attempting to losen them. Let it soak for a half hour or more. Even if you dont think it looks like it needs it.

That is exactly what i used and i let it soak for 3 hrs, during the 3 hrs i kept soaking them. That one just snapped all other came off, honestly i thought more would break than just the one.

KanoKroil will leech into places other penetrating oils will not go... such as PB Blaster. Kroil was originally developed for the aviation industry and found common use in the automotive and firearms industry.

I've personally extracted seized spark plugs in my son's 20 yrs old 4Runner... surprising what only a year of parking near the salt air in Galveston, TX would do to a car. I thought for sure that we would have to take the car to an auto/machine shop to have them extract the two broken plugs after PB Blaster and an easy out tool wouldn't do the job. With Kroil, however, it was just too easy afterwards. Now if I can't get something out with Kroil... I suppose that's when the grinder or torch would have to come out but I've yet to do that thanks to Kroil. BTW, I have no affiliation with KanoKroil even though I'm starting to sound like an infomercial. I just know that it would help my fellow DIY type RL members if they ever tried it.
