Current selling prices of 997.2's?
I am a newbie here, but have lurking for awhile. I currently drive a 2011 Corvette Convertible, and it is a great car, but it is just not for me.
I am interested in buying a 2009 C2 CPO w/PDK. I have found two near me, both Blk/Blk, lightly optioned, clean carfax, one owner, 26,000 miles, lease returns. They are both being offered at $59,900 and one dealer without asking dropped the price $900.
My question is, what is a realistic price they will accept? Has anyone bought one recently and how much below asking did the dealer accept. I did some research on this forum, and some members are saying to ask $10k below. I may be wrong, but I think a dealer would laugh at me if I did. Anyone out there buy one recently and how much below did you get?
I know there are variables, but trying to get a ruff idea. By the way, both of these cars have been on the lots for over 4 months.

in general there should be less play in lightly optioned cars that are older, especially if reasonably priced. I am not quite sure about the current market but the prices don't see, to bad, still you should expect to move them by lets say at least $3750 maybe more. People seem to have 2 strategies:
1: low ball and try to meet in the middle
2. give a reasonable offer and walk if not accepted
Yet I haven't heard of a story where someone walked and the dealer came back and said we would like to accept the offer, but they might get back to you and give you a price very close to it

I would think an offer of $49k would not be considered legitimate from the dealers perspective.
Depends a lot on the options, but $59k is not too far from a fair price, IMHO.
If I really wanted the car,I'd try mid to upper $50's as a starting point.
I came from a C6 Z06, btw, and you're in for a treat. Although not as fast, the 911 is a much more pleasant touring car.
