BTW, if you are going to remove the rear center console you may want to consider getting a Short Shift Kit (SSK), either B&M or the OEM SSK. Since you have the rear center console out it will take an additional 15 minutes to swap the shifter. I have done this mod (SSK) to both of my Porsches (previous '04 C2 and current '10 C2S) and I highly recomment it.

2005997carrera2,

BTW, just let us know how large your "Discretionary Mod Fund" account is.... then we'll help you spend all of it!

Hahahaha I've owned 4 Porsche's in my life and never modified any of them with non OE parts, but the exhaust is really something that I don't like. Maybe it's because I switched from a Cayman and it's engine is closer. I still don't know if I'm willing to spend $1,000 on exhaust though especially since there are little if any performance gains. I think the Fabspeed Cold Air kit might be more what I'm looking for, it's supposed to provide gains of 10 HP and increase noise levels slightly. Only problem is I can't stand that it only comes in red, in fact it's actually a deal breaker. Any recommendations? The short shifter sounds interesting, anyone know a better place to get it then suncoast, maybe somewhere with a PCA discount.

+1 on Eric... great to do business with and BTW he has the B&M SSK on sale. I just installed it recently... made a considerable and positive difference with the sporty car feel.

Yes, very detailed instructions. And as Tim noted, a wealth of knowledge here on RL too.

And yes, Arctic or any other finish - made to order. The finishes are exterior color, not interior. But if you are unsure, grab a few images of your interior and shoot them to me, and we'll review and call you to discuss.

Email me or visit us online at BumperPlugs.com, click the Order tab and go from there. Our 19 stage finish takes a couple weeks to produce to a flawless finish, but we're ready when you are!

Recommend you consider the Fister sport mufflers for your 997.1. Darin will take good care of you there - you can do a core exchange with your stock mufflers and get a PSE sounding exhaust for 1/10th the cost of an OEM Porsche Sport Exhaust. I did mine and couldn't be happier. Everyone that hears it loves it.
