You should not have to enter the radio code because, beginning with the 2003 911's, Porsche procrammed the radio codes into the DME.

Shtootgart, Hope this resolves your issue.
However if engine is hot particularly on a hot day, the engine fan will intermittantly come on even when the car is locked.

I have a '98 so radio code was/is necessary and in terms of fan being on because of heat, I guess only time will tell. I think the car had been sitting in mechanic garage for hours, engine off, when he noticed fan on.
