I use hockey pucks to pick up an extra inch or so.

Just got my set and a dolly. John is a first class guy to deal with. Will add another set soon....GR

 

I use the jackpoints only on the rear - once lifted from the rear lift points the whole side will lift due to chassis stiffness. I just pop in a standard 3 ton jack stand from Sears on the fronts lift points with a hockey puck to mitigate metal to metal damage. Save you some $$$. Love the Jackpoints for the rear though!!

 

Which ones did you get?
I believe they have two different models

 

By default they ship the low profile plate JPs to 911 owners... If you have a stock suspension setup and a low profile jack (2.75" or less) then I believe you should be able to use their standard height plate to gain another ~1". Just to get started I have 2 JPJs in the rear n 2 standard jacks in front. May get 2 for the front at some point.

 

love the concept - just wish they could come in less than $300/pair.

 

Possibly a dumb question but what is it about the jacking points that might necessitate special pads for your jack? Is it that there is no way to jack the car and then put it on jackstands then remove the jack?

Great post USMC...never had seen these before. May end up picking up a set although I am not under my car enough to use them probably. Most often for me is my oil changes every 8-10k I do. Otherwise my exhaust is fully done [AWE cross pipe and cans] so can't figure out other reasons to jack the car.

Of course I can use any ones you guys provide as ammo for the spouse to justify a purchase so fire away!
