IIRC, you save about 12 lbs total over stock exhaust on 997.1. On a 997.1 PSE, savings of ~ 14 lbs.

I love the sound of the Tubi exhaust (and x-51 headers) on my 997.1 C2S cab. Makes you feel that you are going 30 mph faster than you are.

I had it on my 07 Cayman S, and it behaved exactly as you mention. At idle, it was almost like it didn’t exist; but at about 4000 rpms it opened up into an orchestral wail followed by grunts and gargles. Pure pleasure.
I am really thinking of doing the same for my current ’10 C4S. I wonder if the sound resembles that of my Cayman, or is it different, or louder? Anyone experience Tubi with both cars, and any difference between the two?

Tom, fair to say you paid somewhere around or below $4k, installed? Just getting an idea of how much I need to budget.

Mine was $3400 at Champion last year.

This year it will be new wheels (98rs) and some H&Rs. If I'm really bad, a sport shifter.

My car has PASM, so basically that's it. Not going to flash it or replace the plenum.

You will notice that you will drive with the windows down more often. Oh wait, you've got a CAB!

I'm glad you like it. I bought mine used off eBay in April last year. Maybe it was from someone on here - Jonas Forslund from Florida. I had to get some cracks welded up twice and fitted it myself and saved a whole bunch of money. Very light compared to OEM (about 5 lbs a side lighter).

Sounds fantastic. I'd heard good reviews on here so after only two months of ownership I bought it. I get complements from other P car drivers, they can tell it's different even when I'm parking. On the track I've had people say it sounds amazing as I go past

Thanks to all for your responses....I always appreciate this Forum!

A funny experience to relate. The first night I had it and I'm thinking it's sooooo loud someone pulls up to me in a BMW and says to me that his DD is a Turbo and it doesn't sound half as good as mine so what kind of an exhaust do I have on it.

That started me to thinking that maybe the sound was OK!

Tubi is a very raspy sound at part to wide open throttle....I've had many different mufflers on my 997 cars through out the years. Tubi sounds great for that type of sound. If anyone wants a deeper type of sound with more of a cup car the of wail sound then look at Fabspeed and FVD (M&M). I've had great experiences with those 2 brands of mufflers.

Mdrums, are you running stock exhaust on your car now? I don't see any exhaust mods noted in your sig...
