Default Been here a while...finally have something to talk about

Well, through quite a bit of luck and hard work, finally bought my first P-car.

2005 997 C2S launch edition. Nicely outfitted by the previous owner with Champion RG5B wheels, Tubi exhaust, Champion springs and a Fabspeed air intake. Had the car about 2 months and loving it daily. Replacement for the 2007 RS4 I crashed last January. Long story.

Just wanted to share.

Nice car my friend. Those mountains look familiar. Enjoy and welcome. This is a great forum.

Very nice. I think you'll like the 911 more.

Photos were taken at the crest of the Highwood Pass. Should be fairly familiar looking.

I loved my RS4 but the one thing that it wasn't was a Porsche. I had planned on selling it this spring while looking for a 997 but crashing sort of took that option away from me. Had bought a used Altima to drive for a year while saving up but spring came around and too many people have nice cars in Calgary. Envy is a horrible thing but surprisingly easy to appease when you have friends who enable your dreams quite easily (car broker).

Vern just sending you a PM so as to not hijack the thread... But you box is full.

So... Not to hijack this thread, BUT hijacking this thread, are you anywhere near Humberview Mototsports? There's a 2011 white GTS cab I'm interested in. Would you be able to put a pair of eyes on it for me?
I could drive it back, through the Canadian Rockies, to Vancouver. So maybe I'm not hijacking this thread completely.

Spectacular. Breathtaking.

I wish I could do something like that, too, but driving the NJ Turnpike just aint the same. The best view I get is some underbellies of 777s and A320s landing at Newark Airport, the rear-end of Oil Tankers, and, most famous of all landmarks, the Blue and Yellow of Ikea at 13A. Ahhh, who needs the Rockies…

Yes, sorry but just need to renew my membership as I realized it expired.

Thats not too far from my work so I could pop up and take a look if you like. I am not a mechanic (but there are some good PPI places around that can take care of that for you) but I could see if there are any obvious cosmetic issues. Could likely go tomorrow afternoon.

Its worth buying the car just for the drive!!

Curious, I've always fixated on the grotesque and unneeded revision of the taillamps on the 997.2, but seeing that photograph I realise they rather bollocksed the front fascia and the side mirrors as well. Lovely car, yours. Quite similar to mine. You have impeccable taste.

Nice car. Love the RG5Bs. Are those 20s ? The rear offsets look very aggressive outside the fender line ?
