There's a deposit on my E39M5. I hear ya, my 4 year old does not want to be driven to school by the Beast anymore (The boy knows the cars...BMW M5 and Porsche 911 Carrera).

I will miss the M5 but it'll sit on the driveway if I don't sell it.

3 kids sounds like you need a real people mover + all their stuff..... would keep the P car and get an Benz E55 wagon, headers-exhaust and software and will be walking near any car you come across withen the speed limit of course. Nothing better then the sleeper power wagon....

The new M5 is awesome. Thinking of swapping out to it one day too when my A7 lease runs out in 24mos. Of course I am keeping my P-car (997 C4S). I think you can't go wrong with either but I agree keep your 911 and get another sedan/family hauler or maybe an SUV for the family haul duties if you can afford to.
While they [Porsche] do advertise the new 991 as a 4 seater; I really don't think that to be the case after seeing one...its still the same chassis design w/a slight stretch (lower and longer) which really doesn't give you that 4 seat capacity you seek...if you want that in a Porsche then a Cayenne or Panamera are your best options I think...as others have alluded to!
