New Tires

I just put 4 Re050 Bridgestones on my 2010 C2S. They replaced the Pirellis that came from the factory. I believe the Re050's are quieter but I don't know if it is (A) my imagination, (B) the difference between new and worn tires, or (C) the Bridgestone is a quieter tire than the Pirelli. I have read lots of opinion on Noise Vibration Harshness but so far all I have been able to find is opinion. Does anyone know of any quantitative NVH comparisons between the popular N rated tires for P cars?

Had RE050 on multiple cars and I can now say that they are the worse tires I've ever owned. Loud, unpredictable and do not perform as well as Pilot Sports or Pilot Super Sports.

PSS
funny thing is, the PSS are the quiet ones , I think anything you decide on after them will be louder.
I just put a set on, so much quieter than the PS2. Just don't like the lack of fast tip in but hey we can't have it all. Great tyre!

Timely thread. I'm just about to replace the tires on my '09 C2S, and after reading this, I think I'll give the PSS a try. Mine came with the Bridgestones. I have 37k on the car now. The fronts are a bit shy of 30k, allowing for the winter-shoe miles, and the rears have already been replaced once.
Do the PSS last any longer?
Oh BTW, just about any new set of tires is quieter than the set it replaced, especially if the old ones are within a few millimeters of the wear bars.

My foot's only a little heavy, but I discovered you don't have to slow down when taking curves and corners like you do in other cars.

Just replaced the Bridgestone's RE-11's with the a set of PSS. One of my complaints when I bought the car was the road noise from the tires. The PSS are much quieter, not enough miles to say much else but I was amazed at the noise difference inside the cabin with the new tires.

I found Hankook to be very quite compared to conti sport contact. Less teeth jarring over bumps too.

But be prepared for a serious break-in period. The first few weeks thought they were junk but now am pleased.
