Default Scrapes and Waves

Was bound to happen.

The black guard under the panels and bumpers of the GTS. Scraped the front yesterday on one of those "didn't see it" dips pulling out of the Monterey Art Museum (you've been warned!).

Can only see if getting down low so will probably wait until obvious or more damages to replace it. Bummer.

The drive to and fro Carmel/San Francisco was lovely though.

Saw a couple Boxsters...one being driven by a most attractive lady south of San Jose on 101 (pm me!!!).

Saw about 6 911's. Waved to every single one...incl the boxsters....not a wave back at all! Geez!!! Some guy in a Cab version of the 991 iteration of the Panamera (ahem) who was pulling out of a filling station looked at me as if to say "do I know you?"

Those people are Porsche drivers not Porsche enthusiasts, a Porsche enthusiast would give you the "nod" or thumbs up.

Don't feel bad... I flash my lights or wave to other 911's all the time but only a few have responded in kind here. Had my son with me 2 wks back on a drive thru the Texas hill country... a 997.2(cab) enthusiast with the top down also had his son with him. We nodded and waved to each other... then I explained proper Porsche Etiquette to my boy who found it fascinating. Hope it works for him when he drives his own 911 someday... I imagined that the other chap was doing the same with his son. Semper Fi... for doing your part.

You can live around people for years and never speak to them
