I like to buy LED head and tail lights for 997/1.
What is the difference between brand Rottec and Dectane ???

Rottec will have better customer service should anything go wrong.

Depends on which distributor you buy from - Dectane is sold by multiple distributors - at least 2 in the states - customer service has been good. Rottec is out of the country too...but a lot closer in Canada.

While we're on the subject, anyone have advice on which U.S. distributor/dealer might have the best Dectane deal?

I ordered from Orange in Germany, but that was early days.

To OP, look at posted pics, and decide WHICH do you like better, then order from either. Both have been great, its' all about your preference in style.

I'd look at the FVD ones, too. They look great in person.
