Agreed. I can't imagine that anything can really be washed off by the washers.

No one touch close on sunroof, I wrote a letter to Porsche about it and they thanked me for my inquiry, but said no way to enable.
I was pissed because my 06 had one touch close.

If you are in a snow storm or a dusty area, its got value. If you live where it rains regularly or just avoid driving in snow or dust you won't need it. Problem is, its hard to design a car for an area one particular owner may be driving it.

agreed to the above. however, i never understand why they automatically come on every 10 or so windshield sprays. not really sure i understand the significance. i suppose the thought is if you're spraying your windshield that much, your headlights must be dirty and its proactively cleaning it. however, i think its 10 times overall as opposed to 10 times in one driving session. a single driving session count would be smarter...IMO.

An automatic number is likely chosen (like 10 windshield washes) because you cannot see the headlight surfaces while driving and a gradual degradation would likely not get noticed by the driver until its very very bad.

I don't like the chrome look of those washer tips. Is there a easy way I can get them off and paint them?
(I have searched a few threads and they mostly require removing the headlights)
