Care to share with the rest of us what you wanted to learn and what you learned?

I have VAG COM and used it well on my various VW cars over the past 10+ years.

I use it all the time on my Phaeton. Helps diagnose issues (TPMS battery life), reset gremlins (trunk won't open), manipulate settings (DRL for example). Good Tool!!

Paddyh, let me ask you : do you think it was a branding error to put the Phaeton under the VW brand, rather than the Audio brand? It seemed that way to me.. to have such a top-end and expensive Volkswagen, when Audi (or a host of other brands, but Audi would give better world wide distribution) seemed more appropriate.

I have the Ross Tech and have used it for years. There is a really good forum on quattroworld.com dedicated for the Ross Tech and it is supported by Uwe who makes the software and cable.

I don't think so, The Phaeton was about 85% Audi A8 anyway, so the car wouldn't have done Audi much good. It did have enough unique features to grab a slightly different market (unique wheel options, available rear center console, etc.).
