does anyone know how many of these were fitted as full factory options? and is it true that the gts has this kit as well?, thanks, kk

If you want 408HP you might as well get a GTS. Lots of extras and oh those hips... I love mine.

i would except that they are still twice as much as what i am lookinng at... so...decisions, decisions, also looking at a .2 targa 4s with everything... plus the hips, but the targa has a different look and pdk...hmmm

I'll take some pics as soon as it stops raining.

As for the targa, IMHO it looses something with the rear quarter windows.

You're unlikely to find an X51 at a price any better than a GTS, as the option was much more expensive on a standard car. That being said, a normal C2s or C4S is plenty fast for most people.

If you're a true collector and find a low mileage one, then the X51 may make sense. Much as C2S 993s demand a premium for very little really being different. But that means a waiting more than a decade

If it's performance you want the GTS is the way to go

Thanks. My daughter, eleven years-old, saw a picture of Dan's turquoise blue Cab and it was all over. Our deal is that she picks out the color (and she wanted the black rims too). Not that there is anything wrong with variations of Silver or Black or Gray, they're all beautiful, but I'm glad she thinks outside of the basic color box!
