Hi everyone,
Im very much a newbie and have just found a nice 2005 997.1 C2S in HK. This being my first P car I have been trawling these forums for info and have decided to do a PPI at the Porsche Centre (Jebsen).
The only problem is that they dont offer PPIs anymore as a matter of policy since early this yr, and they are only willing to do checks as stipulated in the relevant minor/full service checklists, which not only cost significantly more than a PPI but also said to not cover as many items as a PPI (even under a "full service").
Hence was just wondering if there are any HK Porsche veterans who can point me to a reputable + knowledgeable P specialist who wld preform such a PPI?
Any other ideas/pointers are most welcomed. Am excited for my new P car but given potential issues (and costs) wld much rather go thru the purchase with proper checks etc.
Thanks very much!

I have yet to find a Porsche specialist in Hong Kong that I would consider reputable. This includes the dealer, Jebson. Let's not forget that this is the dealer that drove a customer's car down an elevator shaft. With their monopoly as the sole agent in HK, they feel they can set their own policies and charge outrageous mark-ups. The PPI they performed on my Turbo missed a bunch of stuff that was obvious, like a blown MAF.
Your choices for Porsche specialists are Road And Track, Carreras in Fo Tan. For a basic check up you can try and HKAA.
