Default pcm3 update

my pcm had the 1.41 version on it and the dealer had the 1.44 so i told them to put it on. i did not have any problems with the unit in the first place i just wanted to have the lastest version on of course. Now here is the result... i have not used it with the bluetooth phones so would not know if there is any improvment but i did notice something significant....the bose system sounded better!!! is this for real or am i just imagining things. is an update supposed to improve the sound of the audio system. separation seemed more distinct and the bass became clearer not louder if i termed it right. i just sounded more solid and cohesive. never did enjoy the bose system and prefer the aftermarket pioneer i put on my benz but found myself turning up the volume now just to enjoy... is this suppose to be or imagination?

Yes it is. Makes everything look just a little bit better.

Unless they had discovered the firmware was sending an inverted signal a speaker so you had L and R cancellation and they flipped the signal in software, I don't see how the PCM firmware could have fixed things.
