In the 997.2 model like this I've never read anything about a thicker steering wheel option as in the 997.1. It appears to be the standard steering wheel for the model. The Sports Steering Wheel (chromed 3 spoke) may be thicker. Looks like a nice basic car. Not alot of options that I can see.

My 997.2 has the thicker steering wheel listed as an exculsive option.

The thicker sports steering wheel is/was the XPA option, I think.

I had it on my 2009 997.2 car, when they were still fitting the older 997.1 round sports wheels to the manual gearbox cars.

The option code for the thicker steering wheel on my 09 TT (which is 997.1 in the TT) is CPA, if that helps.

CPA is the thicker multifunction wheel (triangular airbag, I believe). XPA is the thicker sport wheel (round airbag). I've had both and I like the XPA better.

I have that wheel with the factory carbon option. I believe it is a thicker wheel, I had driven a 997.1 with a thinner wheel. Can't say if this is as thick as it gets from the factory.
