Awesome pics...

First order of upgrade: LED taillights! Either Decatne or Rottec... immediately freshens up the look!

Slate grey... my kind of color.

It's all very subjective, BUT what's up with this LED craze?! I love the way the 997.1 rears look. The 997.1 lines of the rear lights are tight and the way Porsche has designed them. What's next? We're going to try to make our 997.1's look like a 991?! Anyway, to each his/her own of course.

Thanks but after looking closer at the pics, I think the first order is to wash the undercarriage. Dunno about the LEDs but I'll check 'em out

Well, washing is not an upgrade!

Checkout these posts... I think its the best bang for the buck to update the look!

j/j about the wash! Thanks for your post, your led-lights look great. I'm thinking though that my first upgrade is going to be an exhaust system from fabspeed, any feedback on that much appreciated

Beutiful car and the colour is very nice! Is Wanaka in south island? The road in the south is very scenic and very quite for fast driving, but that was back in 1993. I would change to 18" wheels to mount higher profile tires to smooth out the rough surface and some dirt road driving.
Have fun with the car, the right car (C4) for the kind of road!

I'm sure you're right about the 18" wheels but I spent all my dough on the car!

Although the roads in NZ aren't all that great for spirited driving (IMHO), driving through it is like 'motoring through a post card'. I've driven in the north and south and both are spectacular in their own way. My preference is the south. The Canterbury Plains, The Remarkables, etc. are simply breathtaking.

ps. Slate Grey is my favorite Porsche colour. My old 986 was that colour.
