Default Horn location...

My horn has lost the lower note...I was hoping it may be a bad connection. Any idea where it's located and if access is easy ? Thanks.

Just checked the horn location today. It's under the front fascia covering the bumper on the right side. It's a royal PITA to get the fascia off. I am considering putting in a Nauitlus horn to get that great Euro sound.

It was a very common problem in earlier 997's.
I have reverted to this:

Dealer cost for part around $100, $140 to install. Gaudin Porsche sells online for 60 bucks! I just had mine replaced.

I had the same problem in my 2007 997S, then no issues on my 2008, and now it has shown up again on my 2012 GTS. Sometimes both horns work, then other times only one. Very annoying. You would think Porsche would have gotten this sorted out with their parts supplier by now. I've had a lot of cars over the years and never a horn problem with any of them except for two $100K + Porsches. I will have it checked when I take it in for annual service in June.

I installed one of these several months ago and have been very pleased with the euro sound...it's loud too.
