No, I knew it was built in Sept 2008 and first registered in NZ in 2009, I mistakenly thought that that made it a 2009 (built in Sept 08 for the 09 market). Not an issue at all, it's stunning no matter what year model it is!

thanks for the WD40 tip. I might have to send away for 'Glide'. Still working on it but psychotic that I'll damage the paint underneath and taking it very slowly

Cute dog! What's his name?
Dog's name is Tosca, he's not happy cos the 997 is a Tosca free zone!

Ah a Puccini aficionado. La Boheme and Madame Butterfly are two of my favorites.

This will beak down the adhesive, albeit rather slowly.
Thanks for the tip, Tcc1999. I'm taking it very slowly - would hate to damage the paint underneath

Thanks! I knew I was buying something extraordinary and I'm finding that driving it is absolutely astonishing - better than sex, well, maybe not, but close!

Ha! You'll find Rennlisters to be 50:50 letting their dogs in their p-cars. Mine? They're no where near it!

Well, it's starting out 'dog-free zone' - dunno how long that'll last! As long as my VW Golf I should think

If the dental floss won't do the trick to take the emblem off try fishing line. Good looking car, enjoy it.

There's a lot more fishing line around this town than dental floss - will give it a try, thanks for your interest and the tip. I am enjoying the car more than I could have imagined.
