I pulled the trigger tonight on a gorgeous CPO 2007 Atlas Gray/Black Carrera S. I love the spec (no full leather, manual sport seats, nav, manual trans) and the price was right. If the deal goes through (you never know when financing until the bank agrees to loan the money), I'll post a link and pics. It'll get shipped to me next week some time...

I had a previous 2006 C2S and a 2009 C4S - sold the C2S for an RS4, sold the C4S for our new home (and I hated PDK). I had been looking at 993s, but it was hard to find the right spec, and for nearly the same money as the really good 993s, I'll get a 997 that's right up my alley. Big thanks to my wife for finally letting me make a deal.

Congrats; I can’t blame you for the sickness you have and that we all share.

Quick example: I was dining at a restaurant next door to Paul Miller Porsche in NJ, and I couldn’t help but peruse the delectable array of 997s sitting in the front lot. I especially drooled over a C4S in dark metallic blue, fitted with Carrera Sport Wheels, identical to mine except for exterior color. It was like getting turned-on by the sight of your own wife in a new evening dress. Sick. Simply sick!

That's it - it's mine now... Getting clear sidemarkers installed, "Carrera S" badge back on, CPO completed, etc. It'll be on the truck Monday, out to VA later in the week. I'll post a ton of pics when it arrives. I'm going to get it tinted and add some HRE wheels. If anyone wants the stock OEM Turbo wheels, let me know. Thanks everyone for the warm (return) welcome!
