An excellent observation, and perhaps at least partially explanatory for Porsche's puzzling trend toward making the Carrera less of a hard-core sportscar and more of a generic allround GT. Perhaps blurring the sharp distinctions keeps those indecisive customers from walking out the showroom door without buying. If someone with eclectic taste rightfully detests the buffoonish look of a Panamera but wants the same soft, quiet, luxurious do-not-disturb-the-driver experience, the salesman needs only slide them into a 991 with PDK.
