Default Post a Favorite Spot for Your Porsche ...

I like this spot...Ofenpass, Switzerland. Nearly 10,000 ft.

Wait a sec.... I thought you were based in US... Did you ship your P to the continent to drive around?

I do not have a P (yet, looking at 997TT), but I do live in Switzerland, and here is one of my favourites with my current car:

or how about this

Euro delivery. He traveled to Zuffenhausen, drove around the continent, then shipped to the US. There's a great magazine story about it but I'm too tired to try to dig it up now. Stunning pictures with your Audi btw. Locations?

I see. :-)

1 photo: Gotthardpass (old road and new road).
2 photo: Meiringen (famous for Reichenbach waterfall where Sherlock Holmes fought Professor Moriarti).

There are a number of nice driving roads in Switzerland.
One can go over Furka Pass, very picturesque, stop to visit a glacier (one can walk inside it).

If you have time then you can cover three passes in one go, I did that several times. Start from Zurich, go over Furka Pass, then Nufenen Pass, then go back over Gotthard Pass. Very exciting driving and views.

Or, one could start in Zurich, go over Furka Pass, turn right and cover Grimsel Pass, end up in Meiringen, visit the waterfall, go over another, smaller, pass and end up at the amazing lake Lungern (it has this incredible green color) and then go back to Zurich.

My favourite road for driving, though, is over Flüela Pass. One goes early on Sunday morning, when there is little traffic so that you can open up the car really well, there are long stretches of winding but very speedy (though bumpy) roads and a number of more demanding climbs/descents with many hairpins. Eventually you end up in Scuol, the best rafting place in Switzerland. Then go back over Flüela pass again. Perfect weekend!

At the track is my favorite spot for me and my Porsche...this way I can drive it like I really want to drive it and explore a Porsche's real reason it was built.

I was tempted to show a track photo like Mike (mdrums), as he's right, it's the only place you can really drive your Porsche like it was meant to be driven. But here where Porsche began, in Gmund Austria, is probably the best place that my Porsche has been....

My favorite spot for my Porsche is under my ***. Don't think I'll post a pic.
