Default Price check 2006 997S cab

A good friend is selling his 997S cab to another friend and they asked me what a fair price is to both parties. The car had a msrp of $99k with Bose, manual tranny, power seats, up graded wheels among other options. It only has 14k miles on it and is absolutely perfect without a scratch on it. They were thinking about $50k, which I intially thought was low. Now that I have looked on Ebay and other classified, that might not be too far off. What do you guys think??? Thanks...

I'd say $50k is about right...I've been looking for a similar car last few weeks and that looks like a pretty good average.

Sounds about right unless it is under warranty then add a few thousand and depending on how it is equipped..

I just bought a 06 c2s cab with 40k miles and under full cpo warranty for two years... Has sport chrono and no other extras. I negotiated $51.5 plus tax. It was a good deal for cars around here...

$50K for an '06 S with 14K miles? That sounds pretty low to me. If someone can find me a current listing for a low-mileage S in that price range, please let me know. I must be looking in the wrong places.

Keep in mind that the base price of a 06 997S cab was about $91,000 so that car didn't have much on the options list. The lower miles may not be doing the next buyer any favors--much of the infant mortality is yet to be discovered on that car, but it will be certainly be paid for by the new buyer. I would think it might be worth closer to $40K.

What the heck you been smokin'?

OMG, don't ever buy a low mileage car. Something might break on it?

You may even be delusional enough to think think a high mileage car is worth more than a low miles car? Good luck with that.

A low miles cab like the one the OP describes is in the $54k neighborhood. Minimum.

$40k for that car? That's crazy talk.

BTW, the year is now 2012!

The market seems to place an inordinate value on mileage with these cars. A '06 14k mile cab would be more in the mid 50s it seems. If that's worth it is a personal decision.

Too low.

Average Black Book is $50,525 CS2 Cab 32k miles.

Mid $50k Retail. If you can get it for $50k and it checks out with the CarFax and the mechanical then you'd be buying this ride at a very good price.
