Haha, that was a funny quote! I am just looking for some simple mods like I have mentioned and as I have mentioned before, I do not expect any seat of the pants increase from my choices. I love the looks and sounds of the pieces I am considering and whatever power gains I get, will be an extra bonus. I appreciate all the responses though!

I have another question relating to this. Isn't going to be at least the same temp air as the stock setup?

No. The stock setup rams air directly from the outside through that snorkel.

You might be talking 997.1. You sould pop on the Fabspeed site and watch the comparison video.

Nice looking twin CAI(?)... just make sure it is channeling air from the outside. I could not tell from the pics if this was the case. That they're providing you with an air box (much like the stock unit) which encloses the air filter from the engine and draws air from the outside and not from w/i the engine compartment. Air from the engine compartment will likely cause you to suffer from heat soak and lose HP compared to stock.

After watching the video I'm more inclined than ever to agree with what Mike said.
Sure is sweet looking.

MDrums? If you mean about the cold intake, they are not saying that it is colder than stock, just more efficient in directing the air / at a higher velocity. They take head on the accusations of higher temps and have tests to prove it. Are they doctored, who knows, i honestly don't think so. Regardless, I am not buying this to smoke the tires. IMO, it will be better than stock, add some hp / tq, sound better and makes for some delish eye candy!

Will you have it for the cruise to Lime Rock in May?
I'd like to see it. (Assuming it's a nice day)

look great! Does it require a helmet, extinguisher and inspection like a DE event? No big deal, I have everything I need for DE events, other than a current track inspection. They are only good for 2 months.

It's only a driveabout. If you drive the track I think they keep the speeds below 30.
I just think the run from Tarrytown to LimeRock with a ton of Porsche's could be fun.

Watched the video. Looks promising... I like the way they funnel the air in between the two air filters into a y-shaped intake. Wish they had made the heat shield more enclosed on the sides though.
