Any videos of just the Sharkwerk bypass? How does it sound with just the bypass compared to a car with PSE?
Thank you pong. I can't answer your comparison question as I have not heard a 997.2 PSE car. Maybe someone can chime in? Interestingly, on the Sharkwerks website it appears they have done the bypass mod on many cars even with PSE. As its been said already, the stock 997.2 motor needs help in the audial department.

Here is Sharkwerks video of their own project car with just the bypass ...

Welcome to the TUBI club.. Your going to love it
I personally love it.. In comparison.. I had PSE on my 997.1 and TUBI on this 997.2... Not totally apples to apples but the TUBI gurgles more and is louder... Not obnoxiously loud.. Just more presence.. My wife tells me she hears me coming home... The joy of the PSE was the ability to bypass the baffles with a push... No such luck here.. Having said that.. I prefer the TUBI hands down..

Finally got the Tubi installed. You were right Matt ..... I Love Love Love it!!! Its always a bit of a gamble with these things unless you can see and hear one in person, but it is perfect for me. Glorious Porsche sound that you can hear but not obnoxious in anyway. Also just cruising it's quiet with no droning.

If anyone is thinking about it, I would highly recommend it. If anyone wants to hear, drive, or experience mine I'm in South Orange County.

All the best,

Tom

Thumbs up

Awesome Tom.. Btw.. It really kicks in at 3-4k rpm.. And like a fine wine or a audio speaker.. It gets better with time and break in period..

Congrats..

Yeah, tilt-shift does that. You can also achieve a look like it with some editing. However getting the TS lens is best and does more than giving you the miniature look.

Congratulations on the car and the excellent photos !!

Oh this thread is really doing some damage to my brain... I have a Nov-2011 997.2S and was very inclined to do this mod. Sharkwerks bypass for sure, but was doubtful on the Tubi... (concerned about highway droning).

I've been away from my dear 997 for the past 2 1/2 months (travelling in Europe), and just itching to get back to my Porsches at home in Chile.

Any chance You might be able to post a sound clip wit a couple of throttle blips of Your finished project? (sharkwerks bypasss + tubi)

Very nice look with new wheels, very clean. Is your car lowered?

Tito,

The car came with the optional Sport PASM Suspension so it does sit lower. I am also running the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports and am very happy so far.

Take care ...
