Default Trickle Charger

Any recommendations, other than the Porsche OEM, for a trickle charger/battery tender for my 2007 997S?
Thx

I don't have a trickle charger -don't use 'em.
There was a factory recall in the 07 for a battery cable that was draining batteries. I had mine replaced when I purchased my '07 last July. I basically drive my C4S as a DD - but I do travel for work and it will sit sometimes for 2 weeks without being driven. I never have battery issues.

I have a "Battery Tender +", with a cigarette lighter adaptor, and it works great.
About $50.

the BMW model has worked for me for years. I believe it is a rebadged Battery Tender. Cheaper then Porsche but it looks more clunky!

This one is cheap. I have a few of them...http://www.harborfreight.com/automat...ger-42292.html

This one is better. I use it for my boat batteries. Great if you have multiple batteries...http://batterytender.com/automotive/...emisphere.html

Dude,

You spent X amount on a 911 and your concerned about saving a few bucks on a battery charger, come on! When I bought my 911 the seller told me to go with the CTEK, which is the same as the Porsche.

He used it all the time, so far I have had zero problems. I said F--K it and bought the Porsche unit for $100.00. NO PROBLEMS / worth paying 40 bucks for piece of mind! NK

Don't care about paying a lot of $$ for a Porsche car... Porsche knows how to build cars. When it comes to battery chargers, i am about 110% sure they source from some wholesaler in China, slap the Porsche logo on it and charge 2 times the price. Just not worth it to me.

Ouf, I think you should really read up on what they can do for you. If you want to use the good stuff, check http://www.tecmate.com/u_optimate.php as charging is not the real issue....

I use the optimate 4 and it does way more than charging.
