997 Car Ramps Suggestions

I also use rhino ramps along with wheel chocks and think this is the safest way to to support the car as the vehicles weight is distributed amongst the suspension and wheel rather than such a focused piece of metal framing, ie the jack points.
If your particular about doing oil changes as someone else stated driving up some premade 2x8 planks you can access the underside, although i can do oil changes in mine without ramps or wood planks. You just need a good low profile oil pan to do this.
Nevertheless rhinos are great especially when you change spark plugs or need to service something in the rear, just make sure to get some wheel chocks too.

I have these ramps but I'm afraid they'll slip trying to back the car onto them so I jack the car up and then set the ramp underneath the tire. This may seem a little crazy but I've had ramps slip in both directions. The drive wheel pulling and the the other wheel pushing. I just want the car secure and ramps are nice unless you're working on your brakes. I hate jack stand...thye scare the crap out me so the ramp is best for oil changes. If i bleed my brakes...I go one corner at a time leaving the other three wheels on using the hydraulic jack with a jack stand as back-up. My grandfather had his head crushed from and car landing on his head from a faulty jack. He only lived 5-years after that accident well into his 70's but those last 5-years were not his best.
