I purchased my first Porsche this month. 2006 Carrera S, silver w/ black interior loaded. 18K Mileage, loaded in mint condition. Listed for 55K took 45K, sweet deal.
I've owned many cars, 1969 GTO Judge, 1971 LT1 Corvette, 302 Boss Mustang, Z28's, but this Porsche is by far my favorite so far. It's everything they say they are!
If I can only stop looking at it and drive it
My buddies who own Porsches tell me to drive the freakin thing, or I'll be sorry![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Anyway glad to join your forum, I have been reading it for a couple years now!

I think your right! I'm buying replacement parts for things that don't need replacing! Worrying about things that aren't broken. I also find myself glued to these forums! Kids, house, wife who!!! Right know it's all about the Porsche. SAD

Congratulations! As you know most of us don't like these kind of posts without pictures. So you might want to post some quickly while you still have a chance.
Not assuming anything but if you don't know how: You'll need a Photobucket type account that you dump your photo's in and hit the "Insert Image" icon above. Cut and paste the link (http
from your Photobucket account. It works great and you'll have high quality pictures to share. Youtube probably has a step-by-step video if you do a search.

DRIVE IT. It will keep you off the computer looking for things that might go wrong, and the car really does run better if it get's used. Garage queens tend to get finicky.

No Problem! I will get a pic up ASAP.
I had been making ridulous offers for over a year. I was surprised when someone actually accepted. Although excited, scared the crap out of me! I had made many offers to Porsche dealers, none never accepted. I ventured off onto autotrader one day and saw an ad by forsale by owner, made my offer and I was off to the races.
I had the seller bring the car to a Porsche dealer in MD, they did a full inspection for $125.00 half the cost of other Porsche dealers I contacted. They told me it was the cleanest they had seen in a while.
They said the rev test come back with all but 32 revs in category 1 and 32 in Cat 2. None in 3,4,5. for whatever that all means. The stickered for 96K, heated leather, Chrono, Nav, Bose / CD upgrade, S Engine upgrade, i'm sure there more i'm leaving out.
I drove the car home (8 hours) first 3 were great the next five??? Between rocks, traffic, and a stiff ride, that will most likely be the lst 8 hour ride this car sees.
Anyway can't wait to drive her! My friends tell me I got a smokin deal, they can't believe how mint the car is! Thx for listening, can't wait to buy an older beater porsche! NK
