Default Cheated while cleaning my exhaust tips

The weather was nice so I spared my back and enjoyed a cigar while cleaning my exhaust tips - thanks to the lift. I used some engine cleaner (which I don't use on my engine) but it is good at removing this kind of stuff. Here are some pics:

Well done.
I just hate seeing this area neglected.

Engine cleaner is a good item. Never thought of that.

Looks great! What kind of engine cleaner did you use?

I used Griot's engine cleaner with steel wool.

Wow! I always thought the inside color of the tip was black!
Nice work!

Maybe the inside of the OEM tip was originally painted with high temp black, but the engine cleaner and steel wool removed all of the paint ?

Why are you cleaning the inside of the exhaust it's supposed to be covered in soot!

What's the height of your garage? Curious about lifts.

I've had the lift for a long time and I think my lowest point is 10 1/2 feet from floor to ceiling. If I recall the company I purchased it from said 9 1/2 was the minimum height needed. Surprisingly it was not very expensive but you do need to factor in the expense of a high lift kit for the garage door.

I use P21S Multi Finish Restorer on my exhaust tips (and many other places). Works well.

Your exhaust tips look fantastic.

I've used some high dollar stuff, but I still come back to Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. $1.99. Crazy, but it works really well.

I use WD40 on metal parts it keep the right balance of patina on the metal. I believe steel-wool will eventually cause rust.
