Ordered Sport Mode for '09 Carrera S Cab

It does not add any horsepower.
It does not add any torque.
It doesn't make the car accelerate any faster.
It doesn't make the car stop any shorter.
It doesn't make the car turn any sharper.
It's not a performance upgrade (on a manual transmission, non-turbo car).
What it does do is this -- it changes the accelerator pedal so that you don't have to press down quite as far to achieve the same amount of power delivery. When you first use it, the car "feels" faster. Then when you grow accustomed to to the new mapping, the old one "feels" slower. But it's the same speed in either case.

Ran me about $1500 including installation. Had the local dealership get the kit and do the install. It was the first time they did it, fortunately it worked fine. You need to make sure that all of the applicable memory functions now accessible in the PCM are activated (daytime running lights, automatic wipers, climate control, and door lock options) since these have to be done seperately in the PIWIS. Took a seperate trip to the dealer to get them done since they forgot them the first time. Enjoy!

Yes, that is what Nugget is saying, and I completely agree with him.
WHen I was looking for a 2009 & 2010 C2S, I knew I wanted a manual transmission so I didn't care if a particular did or did not have Sport Chrono.
The 2010 C2S I bought does not have it and I will not buy it. I can use that money for far more useful mods..... like Ti Lug Bolts!

Buy a a 75,000 car for 65,000 -68,000$ because resellers don't know that it is now an aftermarket OEM. Buy some titanium lug bolts and a PSE with that kinda cabbage. Need to footnote your sources by the way.

Sorry for the late reply. 09' S Midnight Blue on Sand Beige. Currently it's at the dealer getting the PSE, Sports Software, and Short Throw Shifter. Will get it back on Friday and hopefully this weekend I'll wax it with some Zaino.

I'm very interested in the results of your install. I picked up my car last night from the dealer in Long Beach. The activation code for my sport software did not come in yet, so my install was not finished. However the PSE and the Short throw were finished. I'll be heading back sometime for the Sport software. I hope your install goes smoothly today.

Overall, she feels like a different car. I guess you can say I have a virgin (never been put in Sport or Sport Plus mode before I owned her, more importantly, never been launch controlled).
Couple of pics attached.

insane to think it adds launch control.. i know thats all computer done but i would think it would need additional sensors instead of just software and a button.
