I swapped mine a while ago. As a purely minor cosmetic item I do find, that although I was disappointed that it didn't turn my car into a wide body, I much prefer the look.

When I removed the OEM Carrera badge there was an "imprint" left in the paint from someone using a toothpick or something to clean around it after waxing. I ended up having to wet sand it out and then polish it to get rid the imprint.

I didn't put the PORSCHE logo on in a straight line, but followed the curve of the lid.

Very nice. I like this look. Is this badge from 991?

I think so, I bought it from a Porsche dealer and just asked for the chrome PORSCHE logo and 911.

You have a second degree burn of your fingers. Whether due to friction, heat or chemicals I don't know but the result is the same.

Other than that I have no opinion about the emblem.

I vote for the "Carrera S" script. It is really up to what you like.
