Default GTS Lowering or Wheel Change

My GTS Cab has a little more gap in the wheel well/fender/tire area than I like, even though it is 10mm lower than a standard 911. Has anyone done any mod to improve this appearance--wheels, tires, lowering, spacer? Not sure if I want to change this car from stock as the ride is much nicer as a DD than my GT3 (which has a stock wheel/tire/fender look that I love), just curious if any pics are floating around out there that might change my mind.

Funny you bring this up....I've been thinking the same thing. However I track my GTS a lot so I don't want to make something worse. I do need stiffer sway bars.

I'm thinking of calling both GMG and Champion to see what they suggest and have to sell.

Id really love to do better coil overs with updated sways but I'd be looking at around $7k for that mod and that is way way out of my realm of budget.

No mods, but I have SPASM on my 2012 GTS, which lowers the suspension an additional 10 mm. Looks nice, and ride is still good for DD.

I also have sport PASM. Great for street and occasional track...still needs stiffer sways and to be lower like GT3

Boy am I going to look dumb: I have PASM as well, but have never been out of my car when it is on. I always turn it off before I put the car away if I have been using it. My question now is: when I have the sport button on, does that lower the suspension by 10mm? I just thought all of the GTS cars were already lower by 10mm.

No the sport button just firms up the shocks and makes the throttle more sensitive. You can get the Carrera and GTS with the Sport version of PASM which lowers the car further than Regular PASM.

I have Sport PASM and still the car is not really all the low or that much stiffer than Regular PASM

PASM is always on. It is either in the normal setting or sport, but always on. If you have regular PASM on your GTS, it is the same suspension as the regular 997S, and is 10 mm lower that the non PASM suspension on the regular Carrera.
If you have SPASM, then it is 10 mm lower than the regular Carrera S suspension, or 20 mm lower than the regular Carerra suspension. Changing the setting from normal to sport does not lower the car on regular PASM, or sport PASM.

here's the dumbest question of all, how do you know if you have SPASM or just PASM on the GTS?

Do you have the window sticker that came on your car?

Nope...both PASM and sport PASM have the same button...that is the sport chrono button. Sport PASM is lowered another 10mm has updated stiffer springs and sways plus LSD over regulars PASM.

Again this has nothing really to do with the sport chrono button.

I had Champion lowering springs on my 997S, and I loved them. I didn't notice any change in the ride comfort, but to me the car looked and handled better.

Regarding the OP questions, would 18" wheels help make a difference in both appearance and performance? I have been considering a second set of rims/rubber for DE and would like to hear from anyone running 18"s on their GTS.
