On another subject. I can't access forums from my home computer anymore. I've cleared cookies. Forums just won't load no matter what I try.Can access from any other, at work now. Anyone ever have this problem?[/QUOTE]

Yes. Deleting browser history and cookies should normally do the trick.

As for the motor, I don't want to be an alarmist but the 05's can be trouble prone and the #6 cylinder has it's problems. If normal service does not fix this I would have that cylinder borescoped to verify it's integrity. Any unusual smoke, knocking or tapping noises shut it down and have it flatbedded. Hopefully it will not come to this. Good luck and keep posting.

Bringing the carrera in today. Another thing I didn't mention was the horrible gas milage. 15.8 tops. Much worse than my 996. I'm having more fond memories of the 996. It ran perfectly all the time, was always strong and exiting to drive, got 19-20 mpg, never one cel in six thousand miles before total wreck. The 997 is giving me headaches, it's well dressed and very fast but I'm begining to loose confidence in it.

buddy911t it has been a while. Did you ever resolve the issue? What was it?
