Great photo Kirby! You don't still have her do you? Would look great next to your Silver 997. (sorry of off topic....)

Is it true that the armor all wheel protectant leaves a semi-gloss finish instead of glossy/shiny finish?

I have not seen that.
I THINK that happens if you fog the wheels and do not completely soak them.

Yup great product but it does not seem to really dry on your wheels. It prevents most anything from sticking to your wheels and dust is off with water spray but do not wipe the water that stays on the wheel surface. The armor all gets wiped off too.

I have been wiping and find that the effect lasts through 1 or 2 wiping's before I want to re-apply.
(Obviously the effect is lessened.)

If you want some dust free pads that work very well on the street and don't eat into your rotors I can get you some. PM me with what car you have and I will get you pricing on some of the pads. They will almost totally eliminate the brake dust problem, they are quint and they bite quickly and have great pedal modulation.

Whatever solution you use it's best to stay on top of this because once that stuff starts to accumulate on the wheels it is that much harder to clean in the future. Ever since Porsche went to a silver painted wheel they went with silver painted insides of the wheels, too and it's very hard to keep that are looking good without a lot of work. I use Harly's wax after thoroughly cleaning my wheels. It helps to shed any dust I might generate.

It does reduce the gloss slightly but it's better than having a dirty wheel as soon as you leave the driveway! I've been using it for nearly 4 months on my wifes DD and the wheels look fantastic. The coating seems to build with multiple uses and you need less to maintain the anti stick surface. I'm definitely sold on it but haven't decided for the Porsche yet. I want to test long term on my wifes car first to make sure it doesn't have any adverse long term affects.

A trick I learned recently is using a Spray wax to wipe the wheels down after every drive. The wheel surface has become very slick and it has made cleaning much easier.

Try the Meguiars stay pretty blingy. My wheels are chrome so I would be able to tell if the finish was dulled. Not a bit.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot! Do I need to buy it online or were you able to find it in an auto parts store?

I use chemical guys wheel wax and when it starts to look dirty I take it to the wash it yourself car wash places here to spray it down (illegal to wash your car at home in vegas) and dry off with a microfiber towel. I hope it lasts at least a couple of months.
