Default Took Off PSE - Installed FVD

1st thanks to FVD and Rhonda for the awesome deal on this system!

I took off my PSE on my Carrera GTS today and installed the FVD race exhaust.

The FVD exhaust eliminates the 2 side mufflers. Basically you come out of the headers/cats into a rear X pipe with 2 small cup car like mufflers to the tips.

This exhaust is the approved system for the Rolex Grand Am 997 cars. It is very well made and about 80% lighter than PSE. I knew PSE was heavy but WOW....PSE weight a dang ton. PSE is very bulky, lots of weight.

PSE as a stock exhaust system never sounded right to me. I installed the Sharkwerks cross over pipes to eliminate the rear muffler/resonator and PSE sounded much better...but still it wasn't for me.

This FVD system sound like a friggin cup car...it's the real deal. It is louder but not a harsh type of loudness...it has a super nice wail. There is some drone at 2-2500 rpm but this is not my daily driver so I don't reall care.

I totally forgot to get new exhaust tips so I need to get those so that I don't melt the rear plastic surround on the bumper exhaust opening.

No I'm keeping the PSE because the GTS comes with it and will need to go bak on if and when I sell the car.

Now anyone who may, sadly, be ophthalmologically challenged can also appreciate your car.

Nice exhaust Mike! We need some sound clips! I got a new one coming for my car as well. The stock turbo exhaust is too quiet . . .

I'll try to get some clips up soon...need to get tips on it first because running it with out the tips is going to melt the plastic surround on the rear bumper.

I'm out of town all this coming week so clips will be up in a week or so.
