Has anyone changed the glove box latch?
It seems a bit complicated, but maybe it's just me. Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Nope, you're thinking about the CF latch that came standard on the 997 Blacque Edition.

It trimmed curb weight by .5 mcg but more importantly, due to an eccentric cam in the hinge mechanism it improved glove box opening times by about .03 seconds (.04 with sport chrono).

This timing advantage allowed for much speedier glock access in keeping with the Hill Street Blues theme of the Blacque Edition. (Taurean Blacque is one of the long forgotten actors from the gritty Chicago cop show Hill Street Blues)

I saw it on Suncoast for $650 - which is a screaming deal or not - the option was originally a no-cost delete.

We paint these quite a bit....

From what I recall, the liner is popped up and you'll see two screws from the backside of the glove box that hold the piece in position.
